Provided by the Massachusetts Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA), EAEDC supports individuals with very low income and assets during acute needs—or while awaiting SSA decisions.

SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program)

SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) helps with food costs and is administered by the Department of Transitional Assistance.

SSDI & SSI

The Social Security Administration offers Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) if you've paid enough into the system, and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) if you have limited income and assets. These are accessed via the SSA, with determinations made by Disability Determination Services (DDS).

SSP (State Supplement Program)

If you're eligible for SSI, you may also qualify for the state’s State Supplement Program (SSP).
